I think this video is so cool. It really demonstrates well how if we can make an activity fun, it will not be a drag to do! I like what Tracy said in her comment "I don’t know much about adults, but adding a bit of fun is the best way to get kids to adopt good habits".

Very true. :-)

@stacey I know it put a fun twist on it for me thinking about how to make healthy living"fun"- how radical, huh?

@lance I love the garbage one too! It's Volkswagen sponsored so I want to see one with a glow in the dark car or something!

@megan Thanks for visiting! I love fun videos! They make my day.

@stacy Yay! So good to see you back on my blog (even if it is a different blog than my old one!) Happy day.

@Jannie Great observation about the sonic element. I think music is crucial to our sense of joy and levity. Actually, there is a study confirming that...do you know of it?

@karl can we make these to order for people's workplaces? ha ha....talk about work happy now!

@tracy Welcome! Great to have you! I think that you are so right about the kids and adults. I think it starts with adults re-learning fun so that they can better recreate that energy with kids. I know it is hard as I have little ones and life can be so busy...but I definitely see a difference when I am playful and relaxed.

I don't know much about adults, but adding a bit of fun is the best way to get kids to adopt good habits. Some of the most frustrated parents I know are the ones that refuse to "give in" and insist children do things because they are told to, full stop. Lose/lose in my opinion.

BTW, I clicked over from Jannie Funster's blog b/c I was so enchanted by the idea of a levity coach!

Add a little fun and people become more engaged. We can create this mindset within ourselves too. When I see stairs I try to think of it as a chance to improve my leg and heart muscles.

It's not always easy to make a situation fun, but we just need to try to stay creative with every experience we have.

I followed the link Lance left and watched all 3 videos over there. I noticed a sonic element was involved in all 3 fun contraptions, which reinforced to me the element of music as fun -- very interesting. And very fun!

The stairs reminded me of "Big" of course, that was one fun movie that shows we should remain child-like.
