Katie. You always find the best videos that leave me laughing and crying at the same time.

The part about the the elderly couple at the check-out and he says “I found what I needed 43 years ago.” That is so like something my husband would say!! My hubby gives me such hope for everyone he comes in contact with — he’s the kind of guy who so fun and freindly and truly caring. That he’s in my life always gives me hope that all will be okay.

Hi Katie:

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and this really positive video. I know this is not a deep answer, but the fact that spring is coming (along with baseball season) really gives me hope. Also, I’ve been making some really interesting connections in my life in recent weeks…this also gives me a great deal of hope.

Katie,
I think this is your best ever and I love the title. Jan from awake is good left on my blog yesterday that Anne Frank didn’t sit around waiting for the world to get better and hoping something would change. Instead she lived in the moment and found happiness. There are a lot of blogs about happiness but I still think she ranks no. 1 for all time happiness.

I like the one about the couple in the nursing home. My mom is nearly 90 and I see happiness in 95% of the people there. That’s what gives me hope.

I’ve been married to the same person since I was 17…38 years. I hope we are still walking hand in hand when we reach those beyond golden years and days.

Two things give me hope today.

A note I received – from someone I didn’t know – telling me, for the first time in days…she smiled. Gives me hope, that there is always light out there….

Going back a year, and something I hold onto very closely. I dropped my son off at the bus stop. It was a cold winter day. Two little neighbor girls were at the bus stop already. The little first grade girl was having trouble getting her mittens on. Hands cold. And he took his mittens off, to help her get hers on. Gives me hope that kindness is something deep within us.
